1. General provisions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the car hire services offered by ALTIUS PRO HVAC S.R.L. (Carpathia Rent). By signing the rental contract or making a booking, the client confirms that he/she has read, understood and accepted the terms below.

2. Conditions for hire

  • Minimum age of the driver: 21 years.
  • Valid driving licence, held for at least 12 months.
  • Show a valid identity card and original driving licence.
  • Submitting a guarantees (cash or card), depending on the category of car.

3. Picking up and handing over the car

  • The cars are handed in and returned to the headquarters in Oradea, Calea Borșului nr. 38Kclean inside and out and with full tank.
  • The customer is obliged to return the car in the same condition: clean and fully fuelled.
  • If the car is returned soiled or with an incomplete tank, the additional costs (professional wash/fuel + refuelling fee) will be deducted from the warranty.

4. Rental duration

  • The rental day is calculated as a 24-hour interval.
  • Late submission will incur penalties:
    • 1-2 hours: additional late fee;
    • more than 3 hours: it counts as an additional day's hire.

5. Using the car

The customer has the obligation to use the car in accordance with the road traffic legislation in force and to respect the following:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines that affect your ability to drive is prohibited.
  • It is prohibited to transfer the car to other persons not authorised by contract.
  • The car cannot be used for illegal racing, transporting prohibited goods or unauthorised commercial activities.
  • It is not allowed to take the car outside Romania without written authorisation.

6. Insurance and liability

  • All the cars are insured with RCA and CASCO.
  • In the event of an accident, the customer is obliged to notify the company immediately and request a police report.
  • The customer is financially responsible for:
    • damage caused intentionally or negligently;
    • losing your documents or car keys;
    • fines received during the tenancy.

7. Payment and guarantee

  • Rent is paid in full when you pick up the car.
  • The guarantee is fully refundable when the car is returned, provided there is no damage, lack of fuel or other irregularities.

8. Special occasion hire with driver

Carpathia Rent also offers the following services car hire with driver for events, special occasions or business transport. Rates for this service are customised and negotiated according to the client's requirements.

9. Contract cancellation

The Company reserves the right to terminate the contract and to require the immediate return of the car in the event of non-compliance with the above terms and conditions.

10. Personal data

By using the services of Carpathia Rent, the client agrees that his/her personal data will be processed in accordance with the GDPR legislation, exclusively for the purposes of the rental contract and communications related to the company's services.

11. Disputes

Any dispute arising between the parties will be settled amicably. If this is not possible, the courts of Oradea, Romania shall have jurisdiction.
